 Gantt and PERT Charts

Gantt Chart Weekly Timescale View

The Gantt chart view displays task information about your project as bar graph. On the right side of this view, the project is displayed using a bar chart. The bar chart will show duration, start date and finish date. The relative position of the Gantt bars shows the sequence in which your project tasks are scheduled to occur.

A PERT chart is a diagram that shows dependencies between project tasks. This is also known as a Network Diagram. Boxes or nodes represent project tasks and lines that connect the boxes represent task dependencies. The boxes contain data about the task. The top portion of the box is the status bar, the task name is next. The remainder of the box is made up of the four rectangles with the left top rectangle containing the task ID. The bottom left rectangle contains the start date of the task. The right top rectangle contains the duration. The right bottom rectangle contains the finish date.
